Authorities in Dubai are investigating the disappearance of two real estate professionals last seen attending a private party reportedly hosted by a Mexican gardener known locally as Hugo, whose activities have recently raised concerns among residents.

The two individuals, whose names have not been released to the public, were last seen three days ago at an event held at an undisclosed location. Witnesses confirmed their presence in the company of a man identified only as Hugo, a Portuguese-born Mexican national known for his work in high-end landscape design in Dubai’s suburban districts.

The missing persons were reported to authorities after they failed to return home and did not respond to repeated contact attempts over the course of 72 hours. A source close to the case, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the individuals were last geo-located near Hugo’s residential address, though no official connection has been established at this stage of the investigation.

Neighbors of Hugo have raised alarms in recent days, citing what they describe as “unusual home modifications.” Multiple witnesses observed the delivery of large crates bearing the logo of a BDSM furniture manufacturer, as well as significant quantities of soundproofing materials being installed. These reports, while unverified, have prompted speculation on social media and within local community groups.

Further detail emerged following an interview with a Careem driver who claims to have delivered an "excessive quantity" of baby oil to Hugo's address within the past 48 hours. The driver stated that Hugo accepted the delivery while appearing visibly nervous, opening the door only slightly. Through the gap, the driver noted the presence of two pairs of high-heeled shoes near the entrance, and claimed Hugo was dressed in what appeared to be a leather BDSM outfit and a bunny-shaped mask.

At this time, Dubai Police have acknowledged awareness of the claims and stated that the matter is being “taken seriously,” but have confirmed that no search warrant has been issued, citing a lack of formal evidence to justify entry.

Hugo has not responded to media inquiries. Attempts to contact him via phone and email have been unsuccessful.
